About Melissa Masse

Melissa Masse shines among established labels, as well as competitive up and comers who seem to be growing in number since the airing of popular shows such as Project Runway and The Fashion Show.  Over the years designers have changed their strategies, but not Melissa Masse. Her tried and true pieces have kept her customers loyal and buzzing about her line since its debut in 2000.

After graduating from Parsons school of design, Melissa was designer for Donna Karen and then later moved to Los Angeles to design for Richard Tyler. When Masse decided to launch her own company, she knew she wanted to showcase her designs and create something distinct yet fashion forward. In doing so she lent her ears to family and friends in search of inspiration.

"When my friends complained that they couldn't find anything in the store that they liked or more importantly, that fit them properly; I realized they couldn't be the only ones who felt that way" explains Masse. Her concept was nothing short of genius.  "Custom-made" clothing for everyday wear.  Her designs possess a unique combination of custom tailoring that is well-made, and well fitting on every size and frame.

Opening her boutique in Los Angeles, Masse quickly dispelled the assumption that custom clothing is impractical and exclusively for the rich and famous. Since opening her boutique in 2001, her reputation has grown among business professionals, stylists, and celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Oprah Winfrey, Melissa McCarthy and Charlize Theron who flock to her store for her creations.

As demand for her collection grew, Masse began offering ready-to-wear collections to select specialty stores around the nation and has expanded to cover over 60 retail stores nationwide.

Requests for her red carpet gowns are in high demand as award season is her busiest time of the year.  "Whether you are a studio executive or a starlet, you want to look perfect and you don't want to see anyone else in your dress".

Masse's Collection is regularly featured in magazines such as Lucky, WWD, and Self, and on the TV shows: This is us, Fresh off the boat, how to look good naked, Extra!, Scandal, America's next top model, The closer, The real housewives of beverly hillsAll of the major Bloggers use the collection to pop their instagram and snap chat with her bold prints and bright colors.
